We would like to inform you that the cards Jace, the Mind Sculptor and Stoneforge Mystic will both be banned in Standard effective July 1, 2011.

However, the deck list for the “War of Attrition” Event Deck will be legal in Standard if kept completely intact. That deck, which went on sale on June 10, contains two copies of Stoneforge Mystic. The “War of Attrition” Event Deck will still be a great option for Magic players to buy and play in Friday Night Magic and other standard events. You can find the full deck list here.

Phyrexia announces total victory!

Although widely believed to be categorically defeated, the voice of the Mirran resistance remains a steadfast presence on the plane. A very recent transmission intercepted seemed to indicate a small but resolute faction willing to continue the fight.

We managed to have a total of 747 Events for this Gameday in Europe, which is more than doubling our previous record.

After all events are reported, we expect a total attendance of 8500 players, which is of course also record breaking.

Those numbers are proving that Core Venues are also highly interested in the Gamedays, and contributed to make this Event a big success.

We want to thank you for your contribution to make this Event the biggest Gameday ever!

Magic is in an excellent momentum, and together we will keep that going on!

For the Mirrodin Besieged Prerelease Event WotC is doing something special. Players will receive three regular Scars of Mirrodin booster packs and their choice of three Mirran boosters OR three Phyrexian boosters.

There will also be two different pre-release promo cards provided for the pre-release. Everyone will identify as either Mirran or Phyrexian and should receive the corresponding card for that faction.

On November 19th will the new Premium Deck Fire & Lightning be released!

The new Magic release 'Scars of Mirrodin' will be on October 1st, 2010!
